The flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean come alive in Amsterdam, this time set in the beautiful space of Cartel Amsterdam in the heart of the city! In Turkish, sofra refers to the table prepared for a communal meal. It is more than just a table; it embodies the entire space and experience where people gather to share food. Conversations spark, connections deepen, and the inevitable unfolds: nourishment, both physical and metaphorical. That is why SOFRA is the home of soul food. Join us for a memorable evening of shared dining and conversation, featuring six soulful vegetarian dishes that journey from Aegean specialties to Middle Eastern touches. The price includes all dishes. We’ll be serving specialty wine and, for the curious, specialty rakı from Otto Spirits. We’d love to share the table with you, will you join us? About the Chef The dinner is crafted by Yeliz Mert, a lover of all things Mediterranean. With roots on the Aegean coast of Turkey and in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria, she draws on her rich culinary heritage to create dishes that celebrate the flavors, traditions, and stories of these lands. Guided by a deep belief in food as a connector of people and cultures, Yeliz brings a soulful touch to every plate and every gathering - true to the spirit of SOFRA.
